Gameplay

It is a Mario Party-like online board game. The player uses a die to move characters around on boards from various Nickelodeon series, specifically SpongeBob SquarePants, iCarly, The Penguins of Madagascar, Fanboy & Chum Chum, Victorious, Planet Sheen, T.U.F.F. Puppy, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Sam & Cat. The player can also play as characters from those series. Additionally, the player can buy more dice from shops in order to make them go farther to get this game's version of a star, "The Nick Coin."

Trivia

General

• This game is similar to many common turn by turn board games, especially Monopoly.
• The gameplay of this game strikingly resembles the gameplay of the popular Mario Party video game series, such as the minigame aspect. But unlike Mario Party, this game is a single player game and only three players can be on the board. Instead of stars, there are gold coins.
• There's a sequel to this game called Block Party 2.
  • During the release of Block Party 3, the game was removed on the Nick US website and the link normally redirects to Block Party 3.
• Most of the mini-games have a time limit.
• When this online game was originally released, SpongeBob was the only board. The game was later updated with other boards until late 2013.
• In the SpongeBob board and the Jelly Bubble mini-game, the music that plays during the board and the mini-game is reused from Picture Day Disaster.
• Most of SpongeBob's sprites are recycled from Super Brawl 2.
• Every main character of SpongeBob SquarePants appears in this game, but SpongeBob is the only playable character of the franchise.
• Larry the Lobster, the Flying Dutchman, Mermaid Man, and Barnacle Boy are the only recurring characters who appear in this game.
• In the SpongeBob board, there is a trivia question regarding what Mr. Krabs' first name is, with the answer incorrectly being Seymour. Curiously, Mr. Krabs' actual first name, Eugene, is not an answer.
