Gameplay
SpongeBob and Patrick are going to bed. They decide that it is time for a Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy-themed bedtime story. It is a decision of playing as either SpongeBob or Patrick, both dressed up as Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy respectively.
When choosing a character, a fistbump by the other character must be completed by clicking the screen. If fistbump goes by correctly, the mission carries on. If the fistbump does not go by correctly, a different mission must be done instead.

As SpongeBob
As SpongeBob, there is a choice of either fighting DoodleBob and his minions, or fighting Man Ray, who is terrorizing the town with his fry grease gun.
If choosing to fight DoodleBob, a minigame begins. It is to drag an eraser across DoodleBob, Squid Doodle, Doodle Patrick, Doodle Mr. Krabs, and a doodle jellyfish before time runs out. When winning the minigame, an ending will unlock where SpongeBob draws some doodle ice cream for he and Patrick to eat. When losing, an ending will be unlocked where the doodles ravage the town. DoodleBob and Doodle Squidward have even taken SpongeBob and Squidward's jobs. DoodleBob is seen making doodle Krabby Patties.
If choosing to fight Man Ray, a minigame begins. It is to deflect his shots using SpongeBob's spatula. When winning, an ending is unlocked where Man Ray gets covered in grease and is fried. When losing, an ending is unlocked where the townsfolk get covered in grease and fried.
As Patrick
As Patrick, there is a choice of either protecting schoolchildren from flying debris or rescuing snails, who are hiding in a tree from a laser beam.
If choosing to protect the children, a minigame begins. It is to click on the flying debris before it hits the children. When winning, an ending is unlocked in which Patrick makes use of the debris. If losing, an ending is unlock in which the schoolchildren, as well as Patrick, are hit with a falling bowling ball and are struck like bowling pins.
If choosing to rescue the snails, a minigame begins. It is to click on all of the snails before time runs out. If winning, an ending is unlocked in which Patrick cuddles with the snails. If losing, an ending is unlocked in which the laser zaps through the tree; said tree, with the snails still in it, flies into space.
Incorrect fistbump
As SpongeBob
SpongeBob heads to the Krusty Krab. The customers have become rabid from lack of food. There is a choice of either feeding them or investigate why Mr. Krabs looks different.
If choosing to feed the customers, a minigame begins. It is to prevent Patrick from eating the Krabby Patties by clicking on them to swipe Patrick's hand away before he steals them. When winning, an ending is unlocked in which the customers eat their food as SpongeBob and Patrick leave Squidward to clean up the mess. When losing, an ending is unlocked in which Patrick serves the poorly prepared food to the customers by throwing chunks of it at their faces.
If choosing to investigate Mr. Krabs, an ending is unlocked in which SpongeBob walks up to him, trips on a loose floorboard, and accidentally presses an "Eject" button on Mr. Krabs' belt buckle. SpongeBob finds out that this is Robot Krabs and it was a plot by Plankton to steal the Krabby Patty secret formula.
As Patrick
Patrick walks home. Suddenly, an ice cream cone blowing in the wind catches his eye. The player has a choice of following the ice cream or going home.
If choosing to follow the ice cream, Patrick chases it off the edge of a cliff and into Rock Bottom. Patrick walks to the bus stop to try to catch a bus. A minigame begins in which is to turn on their glove light to see the bus schedule before time runs out. Patrick's hand is moving around the screen quickly.
If winning, the light turns on. The last bus arrives and Patrick gets on it and falls asleep. If losing, an ending is unlocked in which Rock Bottomites surround Patrick, whose glove light is dead.
If choosing to go home, an ending is unlocked in which Patrick enters his rock and eats homemade ice cream, only to get a brain freeze.
