It first appears in the SpongeBob SquarePants (pitch bible), then in the episode "Welcome to the Chum Bucket," and then in The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie and its video game adaptation, where it is used as a mind-control device.
Description
"Welcome to the Chum Bucket"
This version is a light gray bucket with the Chum Bucket's initials written in red text in the center above the visor.
The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie
This version is a dark gray bucket with the Chum Bucket's initials written in red text in the center. This device is used to change the mindset of the fish wearing it, which the helmet covers the head of when controlled.
