He worked on the show from seasons 1-5. He temporarily returned in season 9 as a storyboard artist on the episode "Kenny the Cat" and as a storyboard supervisor on The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water.
Biography
Erik Wiese is a writer and storyboard artist who has worked on the animated TV series SpongeBob SquarePants for the first five seasons, beginning with his character development and design for the pilot, "Help Wanted."
Erik Wiese also co-created the Nickelodeon animated series, The Mighty B! along with Cynthia True and Amy Poehler.
He worked as a director, writer, and producer on the animated series Sonic Prime for Netflix.
He currently works as a storyboard artist on The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants.
Trivia
- His surname was commonly misspelled with the "I" and "E" swapped, (thus reading 'Erik Weise') throughout the entire series.
- He has been commonly credited as Erik C. Wiese throughout season 4 and season 5.
- However, "Selling Out" is the only episode to have him credited as "Erik C. Wiese" in the opening credits.
