Animated August

Animated August was an event held in Australia and New Zealand that plays the premiere of many new episodes in those countries, including six SpongeBob SquarePants episodes.

Trivia

• "The Krusty Bucket" and "Squid's on a Bus" were originally going to be the last episodes aired, but were replaced with "Sandy's Nutty Nieces" and "Insecurity Guards" for unknown reasons, which aired on April 22 and 23, 2020 instead.
  • If the original episodes did air, they would have premiered in Australia and New Zealand before airing in the United States.
  • "Squid's on a Bus" was supposedly released digitally on Foxtel and the Nick Play app in Australia and New Zealand.
