Trivia
General
- Shortly before this marathon aired, on July 10, 2012, a dispute between Paramount Global and DirecTV resulted in the removal of the Nickelodeon channel (along with the other Paramount Global-owned channels) from the network, resulting in many customers switching providers.[1] However, one day before this marathon aired (July 20, 2012), the channel was restored, along with the other Paramount Global-owned channels.
- This marathon started the premiere of season 9.
- This was the first event to premiere an HD/1080p episode.
- It is very likely that this sport-themed event was made to promote the 2012 Summer Olympics along with the SpongeBob sport toys that were being sold at McDonald's around the same time.
- "Face Freeze!" was the only new episode that did not deal with sports or athletics.
