Background
On March 12, 2024, Nickelodeon announced that the 2024 Kids' Choice Awards would be airing live on Nickelodeon on July 13, 2024, with the show's elements dedicated to the 25th anniversary of SpongeBob SquarePants.[1]
On May 22, 2024, it was revealed that the hosts of the 2024 Kids' Choice Awards would be SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star, making the first ceremony in history to be hosted by animated characters, in honor of the 25th anniversary of the main show.[2]
The nominees were announced and voting opened on June 4, 2024.[3]

- This edition of the Kids' Choice Awards will mark the first time in history where animated characters would host a full-length award show.
- This edition is also the first show to not be hosted in March-May since the 1992 Kids' Choice Awards.
