David Aloysius "Dave" Needham (born June 12, 1985; age 40) is a British director, story artist, and art director freelance, who has been active since 2001, working as a story artist, character designer, and storyboard artist on several animated projects, later joining the team and crew of the SpongeBob SquarePants franchise; to direct the upcoming Spongebob spin-off movie called Plankton: The Movie.

Biography

Needham He has worked as an art director and Storyboard Artist on animated series such as Robotboy and The Amazing World of Gumball, he has worked as a character designer on the Gorillaz: Clint Eastwood music video, and on animated films such as The Lego Batman Movie, and Smallfoot.

He began working at Nickelodeon as a story artist in the Penguins of Madgascar series, and in 2021 he made his debut as a film director in the Netflix film The Loud House Movie.
