"SpongeBob SquarePants" Premiere Week was an even that occurred on Nickelodeon UK and Ireland from October 17 through October 21, 2011.[1] The event premiered 9 new episodes from season 7, including the half-hour special, "The Great Patty Caper."[1]

Production

On October 12, 2011, NickALive! would publish an article stating that Nickelodeon had released a promo for a premiere week of SpongeBob that would air all next week at 5:00pm. These episodes were also announced to air once again at 6:00pm on Nickelodeon Replay. The site also transcribed the trailer's promo, with multiple episodes that were to air being hinted at:[1]

Nickelodeon's schedule listed that the episodes "The Masterpiece" and "Whelk Attack" would commence the event.[2]

Promotion

  • The premiere of the episode "The Great Patty Caper" on Nickelodeon was aided by a promotional tweet from the network's Twitter account, which used box art from the DVD based on the episode.[3]
