Animated August is an event held in Australia and New Zealand that saw the premiere of many new episodes in those countries, including 6 SpongeBob episodes.

Trivia
- "The Krusty Bucket" and "Squid's on a Bus" were originally going to be the last episodes aired, but were replaced with "Sandy's Nutty Nieces" and "Insecurity Guards" for unknown reasons.
- If the original episodes did air, that would've made it the first time an episode aired in Australia or New Zealand before airing in the United States.
- Apparently "Squid's on a Bus" was released digitally on Foxtel and the Nick Play Australia and New Zealand.
