- "Hiccup Plague" was originally supposed to air with "Lighthouse Louie," but was pulled due to there being concerns on that episode being unintentionally similar to the COVID-19 pandemic.[3][4][5] As a result, the listing was replaced with "My Two Krabses."[6]
- This was the first Martin Luther King Jr. Day marathon to happen in the 2020s decade.
- This is the first time a marathon aired on Martin Luther King Jr. Day since the SpongeBob-a-Thon in 2002.
- The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie and The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water aired twice in this event.
