The exterior is a small cave. Although, the exterior of the cave does not appear in the book adaptations.
Interior
"Atlantis SquarePantis"
The interior in the TV special and book adaptations is small, compared to the exterior. It has a rock inside that has the Atlantean amulet resting on top that SpongeBob and Template:Data:Links find.
SpongeBob's Atlantis SquarePantis
The interior is much bigger in the video game than in the episode and book adaptations. It has collapsing edges, gates, ghostly pirates, bridges, wooden and metal floors.
Role in series
"Atlantis SquarePantis"
In the TV special and book adaptations, it is the location where SpongeBob and Patrick find the missing half of the Atlantean amulet.
SpongeBob's Atlantis SquarePantis
In the console version of the video game, it is the location where the second level "Amulet Adventure!" takes place. In it, the player takes control of either SpongeBob or Patrick to explore the cave and help find the missing half of the Atlantean amulet. The level variants "Spelunking Spectacular!" and "Pirate Potholing Panic!" also take place here.
History
This cave used to hold the missing half of the Atlantean amulet.
In SpongeBob's Atlantis SquarePantis, SpongeBob and Patrick have to go through the cave to end up finding the pieces of the missing half of the Atlantean amulet. During the video game, SpongeBob names the cave "Dave."
