Friday Night Slimetime
Friday Night Slimetime was a Nickelodeon block that started on September 23, 2005. It was hosted by Lil' JJ and Chloe Dolandis. The show was taped from the outdoor courtyard of the Nickelodeon Animation Studios in Burbank, California for its first season[2] and the Nickelodeon Hotel in Orlando, Florida for its second season.[3] On the show, contestants are pulled straight from the audience and they played messy games like Nicktoon Spew & A, Fill ‘er up and Spongebob Shootout and they also tested their knowledge of Nicktoons. When the games are over, contestants earned the chance to compete in the "Friday Night Faceoff" – the dance contest finale with great moves like Dance Dance Revolution. The ultimate winner goes home with a great prize and an unbelievable sliming.[4] Unlike its predecessor Slime Time Live, its segments were prerecorded. Nickelodeon had a talent hold on Lil' JJ and was forced to give him a show to finish out his contract. Because of this, Dave Aizer was brought on board as a writer and also occasionally announced the prizes.
This block also featured new episodes of Nickelodeon animated shows of the mid-2000s, including SpongeBob SquarePants, which aired in the 7:00pm timeslot.
