Online game

SpongeBob's Jellyfishin' Game is a SpongeBob SquarePants online game. It is based on "Jellyfishing."

History

The game was developed by Adobe Shockwave and released in 1999. The game is no longer on the official Nickelodeon website, but it can be found in the data of the site,[1] along with other Adobe Shockwave games of SpongeBob SquarePants.

Gameplay

There are three levels. The player plays as SpongeBob, who is holding a jellyfish net. Four buttons take control of SpongeBob's movements. Pressing the left or right arrows keys makes SpongeBob face that direction and holding down the left or right arrows keys makes SpongeBob run in that direction. Pressing the up arrows makes SpongeBob jump. Pressing the spacebar makes SpongeBob swing the jellyfish net. There are three different kinds of jellyfish to catch with each one rewarding the player with different amounts of points. However, the player can get stung by touching the jellyfish and lose 50 points for each sting. SpongeBob has to catch at least one rare blue jellyfish in order to advance to the next level or win. The game ends when SpongeBob gets stung too many times or once the player completes all 3 levels.
