"Hiccup Plague" was originally supposed to air with "Lighthouse Louie," but was pulled due to there being concerns on that episode being unintentionally similar to the COVID-19 pandemic.^[1]^[2]^[3] As a result, the listing was replaced with "My Two Krabses."^[4]
- Despite being removed from the Nickelodeon USA on that day, clips from "Hiccup Plague" were still shown in a promo for this event.
- After a year's worth of delay, "Hiccup Plague" eventually aired on April 22, 2022 at 7:00pm.
This was the first Martin Luther King Jr. Day marathon to happen in the 2020s decade.
- This is the first time a marathon aired on Martin Luther King Jr. Day since the SpongeBob-a-Thon in 2002.
The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie and The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water aired twice in this event.
