Captain Magma is a superhero who first appears in the episode "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy V." He is part of The International Justice League of Super Acquaintances (I.J.L.S.A.) He was replaced by Squidward Tentacles in that episode.

Description

He has the ability to shoot lava from his head. His costume is a red jumpsuit and a volcano hat that spurts out lava. In "The Bad Guy Club for Villains," there is another superhero who is the same person as Captain Magma, but is called "Professor Magma" and does not speak clearly, as he only makes gargle sounds.

Powers

Magma spout: Lava will come out of his head if angered. His magma is triggered by the code word, "Krakatoa!"

Weaknesses

If he gets hit by water, he disintegrates into ash, as evidenced when Mermaid Man, who mistook him for The Quickster, hit him with a water ball.

Role in "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy V"

Squidward becomes him and teams up with The Quickster (Template:Data:Links), Elastic Waistband (Template:Data:Links), Miss Appear (Template:Data:Links), and Mermaid Man to fight Barnacle Man, the Dirty Bubble, and Man Ray.

Role in SpongeBob SquigglePants

One of the statues that the player can sculpt in the Nautical Narcissist Neighbor nanogame depicts Squidward as Captain Magma.

Captain Magma is a parody of the Human Torch from the Fantastic Four, Firestorm and Fire (Beatriz da Costa) from DC Comics, and Pyro from the X-Men.
When Captain Magma attacks, he says "Krakatoa!" This is the name of an Indonesian volcano in real life.
