The player plays as one of the six main characters. When the player starts the game, they have an option of choosing versus, story, and practice mode. Versus mode is when the player connects to the server and fights with online players. Story mode is when one can fight against all the other characters. Practice mode is when one can do a single fight against any character and choose what location the player wants to brawl in. Once the player starts the fight they use the arrow keys to move. Press the up key to jump. Press Z for special attack and X for super attack once the meter is full. Press the space bar to attack and pick up items.

The player or their opponent will lose a life if the player or the opponent is knocked out of the screen or if the player or their opponent falls too far. The player has three floating platforms to jump on if necessary. There are also boxes that appear and give the player various power-ups to use against the player's opponent. The game ends when the player or their opponent is knocked out and loses all four lives. There are also outfits the player can choose for his/her character.

It is a fighting game where you can play as the 6 main characters(one of them is a robot however). When you start the game, the player has an option between story or practice. Story mode is when fight against all the other characters and practice mode is when you can do a single fight against any character and choose what location you wanna brawl in. Once you start the fight, it works like this: Use the arrow keys to move. Press the up key to jump. Press Z for special attack and X for super attack once the meter if full. Press the spacebar to attack and pick up items. You and your opponent are trying to knock each other out! You or your opponent will lose a life if your knocked out of the screen or if you fall too far. You have 3 floating platforms to jump on if necessary. There are also boxes that appear and gives you various power-ups to use against your opponent. The game ends when you or opponent is knocked out and loses all 4 lives. There are also unlock outfits and cetera for your character by playing a certain number of times.

Scrapped "Game Over" screen?
  • Some of the early gameplay elements were not present in the final version. Example: There was originally a "Game Over" screen. However, in the final version, it is changed to "You Lose."[4]
    • In the same video, the game is incorrectly said to be an installment in the Super Brawl series, incorrectly calling it "Super Brawl 3: Bikini Bottom Brawlers."
  • Bubble Bass is briefly seen on the Bass Vegas sign.
  • The Last Chance Coffee sign can be seen in the Bass Vegas location.
  • Bass Vegas is a parody of the real-life city Las Vegas, Nevada.
  • Dinky Fudd's Clam Casino is a parody of Elmer Fudd from the Looney Tunes shorts.
  • There is a very minor glitch in the game where the player can lose two lives at once instead usually losing one life.
  • The glove power-up in this game is from Glove World!
  • The cave dwellers are not present in the Chum Caverns level on the mobile version of the game.

  • Early on in the game's life, there was an online Versus mode, but that mode has since been removed.


Errors

  • With the exception of the life counter and the character select screen, Squidward does not have his eyebrows.

  • For the version of the game on Nickelodeon's U.S. website, SpongeBob's Karate costume is accidentally replaced with Patrick's Barnacle Boy costume, however this error is only visual, and selecting the costume as SpongeBob will not result in the player actually selecting Patrick.
