Template:Song The "Camp Fire Song Song" (also known as "The Campfire Song Song") is a song that Template:Data:Links first sings in "The Camping Episode."
Template:Data:Links sings a verse in the song as well, but he cannot catch up as fast because SpongeBob is singing too fast, so he instead resorts to playing the drums near the end.

Trivia
- The entire "Camp Fire Song Song" scene was frequently shown during commercial breaks in the summer of 2003 (earliest reported sightings were in May).[1][2] Despite this, the full episode did not premiere in the United States until April 2004.
- In 2003 in Australia, Nickelodeon Australia made a competition for all children around Australia, which was whoever could sing the song the fastest by taking a video of themselves singing it and posting it for the competition would win a multitude of SpongeBob SquarePants merchandise.[citation needed]
- This song is known as "The Campfire Song Song" in the closing credits of "The Camping Episode."
- According to The Tom Kenny Collection, the description he gives for "The Camping Episode" revealed that he sang the "Campfire Song Song" very speedily during the recording session. When SpongeBob sings fast, it was purely Tom Kenny, it was not edited to be fast. There were no artificial speed filters used; thus revealing that Tom Kenny can sing very speedily.
- The song is mentioned again by SpongeBob in "Frozen Face-Off," much to Template:Data:Links's annoyance.
- In the French dub, this song is left untranslated with the exception of "Oh, yeah!"
- It is also not translated in the Turkish, Spanish (European), Malaysian, Indonesian, Filipino, Kurdish, and Taiwanese Mandarin dubs.
- This song is heard in a parody scene of the Family Guy episode "Road to Rupert," in which Peter Griffin watches a scene from "The Camping Episode," specifically the part where SpongeBob and Patrick are singing this song. The song was written by Dan Povenmire, who was also a director on said Family Guy episode. Because of this, he was able to gain the rights to the song.
- Unlike the original version, Squidward is not in it and takes place during the day instead of night.
- There was originally a second "bum bum bum" in this song which would cause Squidward's brain to fly out.[3] This gag was cut for time.[4]
- In a 2020 TikTok video,[5] Dan Povenmire revealed that in the original version of this song he wrote, Patrick would say, "Letters, letters, letters..." instead of trying and failing to keep up with SpongeBob spelling "Campfire Song" really fast. This change in the final episode was suggested by Dan Povenmire's writing partner at the time, Jay Lender, and Dan admits that he thought it was funnier that way.
- In 2023, Dan Povenmire did another TikTok video where he sings this song in his Dr. Doofenshmirtz voice along with John Viener as Norm and Olivia Olson as Vanessa.[6]
