Trivia
General
- A prototype cover for this DVD was shown on the DVD trailer for 2009[1] and some advertisements for the DVD. The prototype front cover had a blue bar on the bottom, the Nickelodeon Jellyfish logo, and no bubbles.
- The cover art contains references to the episodes "Ripped Pants," "Karate Choppers," "The Sponge Who Could Fly," and "Plankton's Army."
- However, in the case of the former episode, SpongeBob is shown ripping his regular pants instead of his blue swim trunks.
- This DVD includes previews for other Nickelodeon DVDs and VHS tapes. These include Mad Hot Ballroom, Rugrats Tales from the Crib: Snow White DVD and VHS tape, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events DVD and VHS tape, The Fairly OddParents DVDs and VHS tapes, older SpongeBob SquarePants DVDs, and Tak: The Great Juju Challenge video game trailer.
- "Karate Choppers" does have its musical score changed on this DVD. This also applies to the VHS version.
- This DVD has "Jellyfish Hunter" and "The Fry Cook Games" paired up in the same order, just like The Complete 2nd Season, First 100 Episodes, Complete Second Season, The First & Second Seasons, The Best 200 Episodes Ever, and The Best 300 Episodes Ever DVDs.
- This is the second SpongeBob DVD to contain "The Sponge Who Could Fly." The first was the Lost at Sea DVD.
- At some point in 2014, this DVD set and Extreme Kah-Rah-Tay were released in a bundle called the SpongeBob SquarePants 2 Pack.[citation needed]
Errors
- In the closed-captioning version of "Plankton's Army," Plankton says that "United, the Plankton family could be a real pain in the fanny!," the closed-captions say "belly" instead of "fanny."
- This closed-captioning mistake also happens on the SpongeBob Goes Prehistoric and Complete Third Seasons DVDs.
- On the closing credits of this DVD, "The Sponge Who Could Fly" is simply called "Lost Episode," despite it being called "The Sponge Who Could Fly" everywhere else on the DVD.
- This error also happens on the Lost at Sea DVD.
