This DVD includes previews for other Nickelodeon DVDs. These include older SpongeBob DVDs, Avatar: The Last Airbender The Naked Brothers Band The Naked Brothers Band: The Movie Furthermore, the European version replaced all of those previews with the Nickelodeon DVD promos for SpongeBob SquarePants , Dora the Explorer Go, Diego, Go! The Dutch version included Stichting Brein and Kijkwijzer as a bonus.
As soon as the first time the DVD main menu is seen, it shows clips from "Pest of the West," and after the first time, it shows different clips from "Pest of the West," "Pat No Pay ," "20,000 Patties Under the Sea ," "To Save a Squirrel ," "The Battle of Bikini Bottom ," and "The Inmates of Summer," but the rest of the other episode clips are kept the same when the main menu loops.
Region 1 copies of this DVD have a protective sleeve slipcover and resemble the international variations which doesn't feature the slipcover. The last single-disc SpongeBob DVD to use the old SpongeBob logo on the cover and the discs. The first DVD to use the new logo was SpongeBob's WhoBob WhatPants? , which was released six months later on October 14 , 2008 .
The Amazon description respectively references "Pest of the West," "The Krusty Plate," "Pat No Pay ," and "The Inmates of Summer," while the iTunes description references every episode on the USA release.
This DVD was re-released on September 25 , 2012 along with The Seascape Capers , Friend or Foe? , SpongeBob's Atlantis SquarePantis , and SpongeBob vs. The Big One as part of The SpongeBob Super Square Collection .
The Super Square Collection version of this DVD includes a bonus poster which is just a big version of the cover.
Pappy Krabs is absent on the 2012 reissue cover.In international versions of this DVD, the other episodes are switched with the following ones, almost all of which are included in the U.S. version of SpongeBob's Atlantis SquarePantis:
