Kapono Beamer
Kapono Beamer (born 1953; age 71/72) is a composer/arranger best known for composing music from Polynesia. Several of his compositions have been released by APM Music, where they would later be used in SpongeBob SquarePants and its spinoffs, Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years and The Patrick Star Show. Beamer also has won several awards. He is a gifted guitarist, songwriter, vocalist, producer, arranger, engineer, and Grammy Award nominee for recording artist. The "Na Hoku Hanohano Awards," Hawaii's equivalent of the Grammy Awards, have given multiple times to Kapono. As of the last count, he had won 17 of these honors, including Album(s) of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Contemporary Hawaiian Album(s) of the Year, Instrumental Album(s) of the Year, Producer(s) of the Year, and Recording Engineer of the Year. He has made 25 CDs to date and is a master of the traditional Hawaiian slack-key guitar.[1]
