Trivia

General

The "Dedication to Pat Morita" scene.
  • The uncut version of "Karate Island" is included on this DVD, as the dedication card at the end was later removed from American television airings after the Best Day Ever marathon.
  • "New Leaf" was released on this DVD two months before premiering on American television on September 22, 2006.

  • Some copies of this DVD have a bonus Nick Arcade Games CD.
  • This is the first SpongeBob DVD for two things:
    • The first karate-themed SpongeBob DVD. The second is Extreme Kah-Rah-Tay.
    • The first SpongeBob DVD to have a PG rating from the BBFC, due to mildly scary scenes in "Ghost Host."
  • In the Arabic release, this is technically the first SpongeBob DVD that they ever made in that country and released on April 7, 2009. This DVD predates the Arabic version of Nautical Nonsense and Sponge Buddies by one year.
  • This DVD was re-released twice in Australia and Germany.
  • At some point in 2009 in Australia, this DVD and The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie were released together in a bundle called Double Feature Volume 1.
