History of SpongeBob Marathon was a 2017 event that featured two brand new SpongeBob SquarePants episodes.

General

On the Nickelodeon official YouTube channel, a quiz video was made about the history of SpongeBob.
"Ugh," "Dunces and Dragons," and "Pest of the West" are the only double length episodes to air in this event.
The image of SpongeBob in the pirate outfit is reused from the digital releases Bikini Bottom Tales and Celebrate the Sea and the image of SpongeBob in the viking was reused on both the Lost in Time DVD and VHS releases.
