Trivia
General
- The cover of this VHS tape is based on the episode "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy."
- The back cover of this VHS tape contains pictures from the episodes "Just One Bite" and "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy."
- "Born Again Krabs" was released on this VHS tape and the Tales from the Deep DVD nine months before premiering on American television.
- On some sealed copies of this VHS tape, there's a sticker that says, "Contains An Exclusive Cartoon." "Born Again Krabs" will not air on TV before March 2003."
- This and Bikini Bottom Bash! are the first SpongeBob SquarePants VHS releases to use the Nickelodeon fish logo in the opening.
- This VHS tape includes previews for other Nickelodeon DVDs and VHS tapes. These include a promo for other Nickelodeon DVDs and VHS tapes, The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius DVDs and VHS tapes, Tak and the Power of Juju video game trailer, and SpongeBob SquarePants: Nautical Nonsense, Sponge Buddies, and Nautical Nonsense and Sponge Buddies on VHS and DVD.
- The previews from this VHS tape are the same exact previews as SpongeBob SquarePants: Bikini Bottom Bash! 2003 VHS tape.
- This was the final SpongeBob VHS tape to use the Paramount logo from 1986 in the opening.[1]
- On the opening credits of "Tea at the Treedome" on this VHS tape and the Tales from the Deep DVD,[2] Edgar Larrazábal is incorrectly credited as the animation director instead of Tom Yasumi. This also happens in early American reruns of "Tea at the Treedome,"[3][4] so it seems that these home media releases and early reruns are sourced from the same master copy.
Errors
- The spine of this VHS tape has the Paramount 90th anniversary logo from 2002, even though this VHS tape was released in 2003.
- Despite the fact this VHS tape was released in 2003, the Nickelodeon Haystack logo at the end of the closing credits has a copyright date of 2002.
- This is because VHS tapes are usually manufactured ahead of time before their release date. This and Bikini Bottom Bash! were manufactured in late 2002, and weren't released until 2003. This is likely also the reason that the Paramount 90th anniversary logo is on the VHS spine.
- The label on the VHS tape has the words "Bob" and "Pants" in the name SpongeBob SquarePants not capitalized. This is also the case with Bikini Bottom Bash! and the demo VHS tapes of Nautical Nonsense, Halloween, and Sea Stories.
