Description

This 4-disc set features SpongeBob's entire modeling career, Squidward's whole public television career, and Mrs. Puff's complete Krusty Krab career. Reception

• Currently retired critic Josh Rode of the DVD Verdict was unfavorable on the episodes featured, regarding the whole season as "by far the least consistently funny season of the venerable cartoon." "The sad fact is the show's greatest strength is also its greatest weakness. [...] The episode plots can't help but be somewhat repetitive. Most of Season Seven's best moments involve the nearly evil genius Plankton [...] Mr. Krabs' snail-napping for the sake of loose change is also funny, and the Mermaidman and Barnacleboy episodes—while not as fresh as they once were—are still better than average. [...] The titular sponge and his best friend Patrick have become the least engaging parts of the show, which is a problem since they dominate screen time. Patrick has been dumbed down too far [...] As for SpongeBob, he acts like a happy, fun-loving, not-overly-intelligent sponge, but has entirely lost the naïveté which has long been the basis of his charm." He was also critical of the "invariably poorly written and arranged" songs, and praised the shorts featured for being "far funnier than the actual episodes they're advertising." His verdict was "not guilty," due to the episodes' appeal to younger audiences.

• The following major episodic characters are on the Region 1 DVD cover:

  • Madame Hagfish ("The Curse of the Hex")
  • Puffy Fluffy, Rrarrg, and Howard are the only major episodic characters from season 7 who are not on the cover.
• The Region 1 cover can be seen as somewhat based on "Welcome to the Bikini Bottom Triangle" or "Rodeo Daze" due to the crowd of characters and SpongeBob blowing a bubble.
• On the alternate covers (besides the Japanese release), Template:Data:Links is the only main character on the cover and the other characters are made out of bubbles.
• The side of the Latin America version has the same side as The Complete Third Season.

Errors

• The DVD description for "The Curse of Bikini Bottom" says that SpongeBob and Template:Data:Links disturbed the Flying Dutchman's slumber. This is wrong, because they cut off his beard and did not disturb his slumber.
• The DVD description for "Squidward in Clarinetland" is missing the period at the end of the sentence.

Confused babbling.

• In the episode "One Coarse Meal," when SpongeBob and Template:Data:Links both say, "Huh?," the closed-captioning refers to it as "(confused babbling)."
  • This also happens on The Next 100 Episodes, The Best 200 Episodes Ever, and The Seventh & Eighth Seasons DVDs.
• On the episode listing and the disc 3 episode selection screen, "Sponge-Cano!" is listed as "Sponge-Cano," missing the exclamation point at the end of the title.
  • This also happens on the Legends of Bikini Bottom, The Next 100 Episodes, The Best 200 Episodes Ever, and The Seventh & Eighth Seasons DVDs.
