Nick Picks Volume 1 is a Nicktoon compilation DVD release that was released on May 24, 2005 and contains one episode from season 3 of SpongeBob SquarePants, along with select episodes of All Grown Up!, The Fairly OddParents, The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius, Danny Phantom, My Life As a Teenage Robot, and Rugrats.

- This DVD was released on the same exact day as the Fear of a Krabby Patty DVD.
- Rugrats is the only show on the DVD not to have one of its characters on the front cover.
- Advertisements in this DVD case are advertisements for other Nickelodeon DVDs and VHS tapes (also known as "videos") for SpongeBob SquarePants: Home Sweet Pineapple (VHS and DVD), Sponge for Hire (VHS and DVD), As Told by Ginger: Far from Home (VHS and DVD), and The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius: Attack of the Twonkies (VHS and DVD). On the other side is another ad for other Nickelodeon DVDs and VHS tapes for All Grown Up!: O'Brother! (VHS and DVD), All Grown Up... And Loving It! - In "Ugh," the French Narrator saying, "Stay tuned to SpongeBob B.C.," Patchy getting hit with a big rock, and the French Narrator saying, "When we last saw our hungry troglodytes, they just discovered fire. How long will it take for them to mess it up? Let's see.," are all left intact on this DVD release,[1] just like the SpongeBob Goes Prehistoric DVD and VHS tape which were released one year earlier on March 9, 2004.
- On October 17, 2006, this DVD set, Nick Picks Volume 2, and Nick Picks Volume 3 were released together in a bundle Nick Picks Box-set.
- At some point in 2008, this and Nick Picks Volume 2 were released together in a bundle Nickelodeon Double Feature.
Errors
- For unknown reasons, the disc on all copies reads "Nick Jr. DVD" instead of "Nick DVD" under all the copyright info.
- This also happens on some copies of Nick Picks Volume 2 and Australian copies of the Karate Island DVD.
