SpongeBob SquarePants: Employee of the Month is a computer game based on the television show, SpongeBob SquarePants.

Story

Intro

SpongeBob wins the 'Employee of the Month' award again, so Mr. Krabs decides to name him the 'Employee of the Year'. He then receives some mail - 2 tickets to Neptune's Pacific Paradise (usually called Neptune's Paradise in the game). He gives them to SpongeBob for winning the 'Employee of the Year' award. And that's where everything begins.....

Chapter 1: Employee of the Year

The story begins at the Krusty Krab. The goal is to get on a bus.

Places

  • Krusty Krab
  • Downtown Bikini Bottom
  • Goo Lagoon
  • Grandma's House
  • Barg n' Mart

Chapter 2: Hitting Rock Bottom

They get on the bus but suddenly the weather gets really bad and they get lost and end up in Rock Bottom.

Places

  • Bus Station
  • WSEA TV Station
  • Rusty Anchor Bar
  • Marlin's Cave

Chapter 3: Back To Square One

They get out of Rock Bottom, but SpongeBob and Patrick do some annoying things on the bus, so the bus driver says that the bus ran out of gas. SpongeBob and Patrick get tricked, so they get left behind and they have to find a new way to get to Neptune's Paradise. The goal is to get on Sandy Cheeks's rocket.

Places

  • Diner
  • Jellyfish Fields
  • Home Lane
  • Sardine's Sundries
  • Sandy's Treedome

Chapter 4: Bottoms Up!

The oxygen fuel tank in Sandy's rocket runs out of oxygen (thanks to Patrick), and they get stuck in Bottoms Up. The goal is to get the oxygen tanks filled so that SpongeBob and Patrick can get to Neptune's Paradise. (Also if you don't dial the right number on thirst try than you may be stuck there unless you start a new game.)

Places

  • Rocket Crash
  • Oxygen Springs
  • Waverly Hills
  • Sublime Seafoods

Last Chapter

They get to Neptune's Paradise, but an employee tells them that the park is closed to make way for a private party. SpongeBob and Patrick cry. He says it's SpringBoob SquirePin's party, and Sandy tells him that he made an error in pronunciation. SpongeBob and Patrick are overjoyed, then all the people (well at least most of them) that they met along the way jump out and say "Surprise!". They all ride the rides. The end shows them all going out of Neptune's Paradise and Patrick is still on the rides.

Trivia

  • If one clicks on the Operation Krabby Patty poster in the television station, SpongeBob will break the fourth wall by saying, "Operation Krabby Patty, that was my very first game. Good times, good times.".
  • In Chapter Two, there is a man named Jojo fixing an antenna who asks SpongeBob for a can of "Kelpsi" and SpongeBob gets him a "Diet Caffene Free Coral Cola with a Lemon Twist"; these are obvious parodies of Pepsi and Coca-Cola.
  • The "SpringBoob SquirePin" joke was used in the episode 'Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy 2.'
  • In Chapter two, go to the giant candle in the room with the Slot machine. If you put your cursor on it, it'll say, "Look at Giant Freakin' Candle" which was one of the first curses (if one can call that a curse) ever used in any SpongeBob merchandise (SpongeBob did say "Freakin'" in "The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie").
  • When Mr. Krabs opens the envelope containing tickets to Neptune's Paradise one can see a little blur of the word Nickelodeon ( hence name of company that makes SpongeBob) on the stamp.
  • Either Leonard, Ryan, or one of his brothers reappears in the PC version of The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie game.
