Nickverse was an online multiplayer Nickelodeon crossover video game developed by Paramount Game Studios. It was freely available as an experience on the Roblox platform. The experience allowed users to travel around and interact with iconic Nickelodeon characters and properties, including SpongeBob SquarePants. The experience was released in beta on March 14, 2022 and was officially released on March 31, 2022, coinciding with a Sonic the Hedgehog 2 promotional event.
By 2023, this experience had over 14 million visits, 10K likes, 4,000 dislikes, and 82,000 favorites.[1] On October 5, 2023, the game was shut down, privated, and replaced by SpongeBob Simulator and TMNT: Battle Tycoon.[2][3]

Slime blaster: They can slime players and give them more power and hit slime targets for coins. They are also involved in the slime royale world event. (Nickverse)
Glider: The player gets this in his backpack by Aang and teaches the player how to use it. The glider makes the player fly and is featured in the glider world event. (Avatar)
Coins: The player needs to collect these. (Nickverse)
Slime targets: They are targets that are shot by slime blasters to earn coins. (Nickverse)
Cabbages: They are food involved in a quest in the Avatar World. They are on a kart with the Cabbage merchant and will say the quote "My cabbages!" when destroyed while being slimed. (Nickverse)
Sonic's shoes: Obtainable during the Sonic the Hedgehog 2' movie event. (Nickverse)
Halloween Pumpkins: They are event-themed as they are obtainable during the Halloween event for Halloween-themed items. (Nickverse)

Nickverse is an experience officially licensed by Nickelodeon and Nickverse is only available on Roblox as this is also what the game is officially engined by. The experience features content related to the Nickelodeon shows shows such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Loud House, The Fairly OddParents, The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius, Henry Danger, Big Nate, Tyler Perry's Young Dylan, That Girl Lay Lay, and Garfield. Despite this, only the SpongeBob and Avatar maps are in the game. Nickverse does have a central obby in the map as well, although it isn't located at the racetrack. Despite this, Nickverse also has a neighborhood which is also not located near the racetrack. The experience also has private servers for free but the limit appears to be one but the private servers are later removed for unknown reasons. The maximum players per server is 40. There are skins for Mrs. Puff and Larry for 300 Robux although Mrs. Puff doesn't seem to be at her boating school and Larry also doesn't seem to be at Goo Lagoon. Here is also a minigame at the Krusty Krab for flipping Krabby Patties for Red vs. Blue. Jellyfish can also be caught at Jellyfish Fields.

This game is built in the Roblox engine, which includes basic walk and jump mechanics. As the player is seen in the Nickelodeon blimp, SpongeBob and a Nick worker welcomes the player to the Nickverse world.
The Nickelodeon blimp arrives at the Nickelodeon hub. They meet some of the Nickelodeon characters and the player can participate in world events, drive vehicles on the racetrack, do quests, explore SpongeBob and Avatar worlds, etc.
Nickverse was announced on Twitter by the official Nickelodeon Twitter account with its release trailer[4] and it was released in its closed beta on March 14, 2022 before being fully released on March 31, 2023. The game had over 13 million plays. The game had evolved through the years as well as lots of updates and promotion events releasing such as the 2023 Kids' Choice Awards one. Around March 2023, the main hub area was revamped with a new racing game. An official SpongeBob SquarePants game called SpongeBob Simulator by Gamefam Studios was announced and released.[5] On October 5, 2023, Nickverse was officially shut down and privated and replaced by SpongeBob Simulator and TMNT: Battle Tycoon.
Nickverse was developed by Paramount Game Studios with the help of the Roblox website user @Paramount_Dev and a few other creators who helped beta test the experience during its now-closed beta. This has been leaked on Twitter sometime in 2022 by the official Nickelodeon Twitter account prior to its official release by Nickelodeon. This game was released on March 2022 which 14 was the beta release and 31 was the official release. The game is also available on the Paramount Game Studios group.

In the production art for the game, there were going to be some furniture/vehicles/clothing that were going to be used.[6][7][8]
However, some of them were scrapped from the game due to unknown reasons as they were not seen in the experience.
This game had an event for the 2022 Kids' Choice Awards event around March 2022. Nickverse later had an event for the theatrical release of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 where there was an obby for the player to complete for an award.[9] In October 2022, there was a Halloween-themed event as well as a Lucky Charms event.[10][11] In December 2022, there was a Christmas-themed event called "Winter Wonderland." In March 2023, Nickverse released a event for 2023 Kids' Choice Awards along with a Lunchables promotion on building lunch statues for the SpongeBob SquarePants theme song.[12] On June 192023, Nickverse released a limited time promotional event for Garfield's 45th birthday with a obby as well as a Garfield skin for completing the obby.[13][14]
In different parts of the map, there are possibilities of going under the ground unintentionally, leaving the player stuck under the ground until they reset their character or leave the game. According to Vailskibum, he got stuck deep in the ground in his YouTube video for Nickverse.[15]
There is a glitch when Patrick's house opens and you can get stuck inside the rock unintentionally, having some possibilities of leaving you stuck in the rock until you reset your character or leave the game.
In certain models in the game, character models won't load in the correct manner that they are intended to. This is usually caused by bad internet connections or modeling errors. This glitch was later patched.
When the player can decorate their own Nickverse house, there is a glitch where one can move their chair/bed out of their house while they are sitting on it. This glitch was later patched.

King Jelly's Swarm: It is a world event when the player battles the King Jellyfish by catching jellyfish.
Hoverboard Racing: It is a racing event when the player uses hoverboards to race as it takes place at the Nickverse neighborhood.
Slime Royale: It is a world event on when players battle with slime guns and the one becomes the winner with the most hits.
Dance Battle: It is a world event when the player dances and one becomes the winner. This event takes place at Goo Lagoon and the Chum Bucket.
Glider Event: It is a world event on when you use your glider to glide through rings and one becomes the winner. The gliding rings act similar to the ones in The Cosmic Shake.
Users on Nickverse can buy clothing to wear on their avatars as they can only be worn on Nickverse and not the entire Roblox platform. Here is a list of clothing that can be worn in Nickverse.
Nickverse was ranked as the best new experiences in Roblox's ultimate guide book.[17]This has made Nickverse one of the very popular experiences on Roblox. Nickverse also received ratings for how high quality it is.[18] It was also confirmed that the game can be played by young people. However, As of sometime in March-April 2023, Nickverse has gained less then 50-100 players lately mainly due to the popularity of other SpongeBob SquarePants fan games on Roblox. Around March 3, 2023, Nickelodeon released a commercial of Nickverse featuring the Lunchables AD featuring the radio you get from the Lunchables AD plays the SpongeBob SquarePants Theme Song. This commercial also played during Nickelodeon's commercial breaks on March 2, 2023.
The Chum Bucket's path is much bigger then it should be but it is smaller in the main series.
When Nickverse was released in beta, the Chum Bucket is missing but it is added during an unknown update. This happened many times during the SpongeBob franchise.
When you see Cosmo and Wanda in the lobby, Cosmo appears to be poorly animated as his face appears to be glitched.
In the furniture shop, the image of Betsy Krabs' house is accidently named "Imagination" which is a image of a meme from "Idiot Box."
As well as that, Barnacle Boy's hat was accidently named "Krusty Krab hat" which is a employee hat for the Krusty Krew uniform.
