Template:Infobox OM The SpongeBob SquarePants "Closing Theme" was composed by Steve Belfer. As the name suggests, it is used in the end credits of the show. The track has two versions, which have both been used as background music in some episodes. The track usually plays when someone does something repeatedly, or does something silly.
There is a futuristic and a primitive version in "SB-129" as well as "B.C. Strut" by Nicolas Carr and Steve Belfer in "Ugh."
This song is mostly played in E major.

Usage
Closing Theme 1

Trivia
- SpongeBob sings the tune to this track while walking to Mr. Krabs' office in "Krabs vs. Plankton."
- He also whistles the tune while he's sitting at the table in "Breakin'."
- He once again hums the tune in SpongeBob's Crazy Carnival Ride.
- The second version was played at the SpongeBob panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2015, this marks the first usage of the second version since "Truth or Square." Although it was the resampled version.
- "Truth or Square" is the only special episode to use this music.
- The song is used as the backing sample for "SongebobTemplate:Sic and Patrick."
- This is technically the most used track in the series, as it plays about half the amount of total segments and specials.
- This song plays in the credits of almost every episode, with a few exceptions:
- "Scaredy Pants/I Was a Teenage Gary": A spooky version of the SpongeBob SquarePants Theme Song plays instead.
- "Texas/Walking Small": A country version of the SpongeBob SquarePants Theme Song plays instead.
- "Christmas Who?": An instrumental rendition of "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" plays instead.
- "Wet Painters/Krusty Krab Training Video" uses "Quest for the Best 1" instead.
- "Party Pooper Pants": Music by The Bird Brains plays instead, accompanied with live action footage of the band.
- "Have You Seen This Snail?" uses "Where's Gary?" instead.
- "Pest of the West" uses "Ride Stallion Ride 2" instead.
- "SpongeBob SquarePants vs. The Big One" uses "Daydream Believer" by "The Monkees" instead.
- "Truth or Square" Squidward sings "Beautiful Dreamer" which overlaps the credits, as if to celebrate the 10th anniversary of SpongeBob SquarePants. That special was also the last to play a track other than the Closing Theme in the credits.
