Template:VG SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature from the Krusty Krab is a video game for the Nintendo GameCube, PlayStation 2, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, and The Wii. It stars SpongeBob and his friends as they journey to nine different worlds, supposedly, inside the dreams of the characters. The game borrows the plot storyline of Godzilla.
Gameplay
Four different types of gameplay have been incorporated into the game. They have been dubbed to be: flying, destruction, racing and platforming.
Flying
The game constantly sets tough obstacles in front of another, and the player must fly out of their way. In most cases, the game will tell the player which way to fly (up, down, left and right). On the Wii, you use the controller like an actual plane control stick. The most common cases of this is when SpongeBob uses his plane to attack a giant-sized Plankton.
Destruction
In these levels, which have only been known so far to be playable as a giant-sized Plankton, the player uses special powers and moves to destroy everything in your path. The player's laser's power is indicated by a bar on the right side of the screen, which refills after use. The Wii version features controller movements that respectively activate moves.
Racing
Racing gameplay is similar to most racing games; it is featured in both the air and the ground's gameplay. In racing try to remember to always get fuel to keep on going.
Platforming
There is some platformer gameplay throughout the game, such as when Plankton must escape from a live Krabby Patty.
Plot
Diesel Dreaming: The game starts at night with the narrator, suddenly the camera goes in SpongeBob's house and shows him pull of the covers of his bed to reveal a big hot rod car. Suddenly he crashes out of the pinneaple seeing a race track as he turns into a crazy hyper version of himself, although he talks normal. After the first race, Plankton comes and crashes into SpongeBob causing his license to fall. The license blows away and SpongeBob goes past an obstacle course and finds Mrs. Puff. After that SpongeBob finds the licensce and a crazy hyper version of Patrick arrives. He calls himself "Piston Patrick." After beating him, Plankton comes again, and this time he destroys SpongeBob's car. Now he must go back on foot to find the parts. He then challenges Plankton to a race. A crazy hyper version of Gary comes and knocks SpongeBob over. SpongeBob goes on foot to find motors so he can use a turbo boost on the track. The final episode race begins with Gary. When SpongeBob wins he doesn't notice a pit up ahead and falls into it.
Starfishman to the Rescue: The second level is Patrick's story. After hearing an emergency broadcast warning of an around'town attack by Dreaded Patrick (who is Starfishman's enemy and the main enemy for this level), he gets out and transforms into Starfishman. The world is strangely flat, like a comic, with comic-like dots for colors, and even Patrick has a pencil outline. A phone guy gives Patrick tips throughout the game. At the end of the first level, inwhich Starfishman learns the basics of the level, Patrick advances to the 2nd where he must save a naked town civilian from getting killed by a train run-over. Then he needs his clothes back, so he goes and finds the 5 clothes pieces and returns them to reveal the man's full appearance "a costume similar to Elvis's. Then Patrick beats the town of baddies and Starfishman advances to the 3rd and last level of his episode. Here Patrick battles enemies going up an elevator, and after the elevator is beaten Patrick goes down a hallway to see a civilian tied up to a rocket. When calling to say everything is alright, Patrick is knocked out from behind by henchmen. Then Patrick wakes up to see he is strapped to the rocket instead with Dreaded Patrick about to launch the rocket. While complaining, he is launched into space and hits an asteroid which creates a ring that falls to Earth and traps Dreaded Patrick.
Who Ordered the Super-Size Patty?: This is where the main story begins - the other two levels were just minor levels leading to the levels ahead. Plankton gets a Krabby Patty crumb and uses an Enlargeatron to increase ths size of the patty crumb. When doing it the patty doesn't stop growing and becomes giant, so to fight the patty Plankton orders Karen to make him 100 times larger. But even after Plankton grows to the size of a normal sea creature, the patty is still large. Plankton runs and equips a freeze ray. The whole episode is 3-D with a 2-D point of view. The first level is a run through Bikini Bottom, the 2nd is a run through an industrial park, the 3rd is a run through a laboratory, the 4th is through the Oyster Stadium, and the 5th and final is a path leading to the Chum Bucket. After this Plankton escapes and hides behind a rock. The patty doesn't seem to notice and walks away. Plankton brags loudly and the Patty notices and jumps on him.
Alaskan Belly Trouble: This is where SpongeBob's story left off. Back in the 1st level, SpongeBob drove his car off the track into a pit. He falls out of the hot rod and the player controls him until he falls into an Alaskan bull worm. Here SpongeBob lands and finds Old Man Jenkins working on an airplane. He asks Jenkins if he can come with him, and Jenkins says yes, but first he needs to find parts for it. SpongeBob goes to talk to the chief of a village in the worm, only to find him strapped to a post guarded by enemies. SpongeBob rescues the chief, who tells him that his subjects (one of which is an ironing board he calls his pretty pretty wife) have been kidnapped. SpongeBob rescues the subjects and his wife, and then the chief lets SpongeBob have it so they can use it for wings, telling him that she isn't as pretty pretty as he thought. Then SpongeBob goes into a lab to meet an inventor who tells him that he was avout to activate an invention he created, but can't because the jellyfish power cells powering it have been stolen. SpongeBob reclaims the power cells and obtains another part. The next level is about helping SpongeBob as he attempts to help some villagers with the task of removing a can of chilli from the worm's rear end. (Note: If you manage to mess up after turning winches, you might be stuck here unless you start a new game). Then SpongeBob finally gets the last part and he and jenkins put the plane together to exit the Alaskan bull worm. They launch the plane and are about to leave the worm, but the arrive just in time to see the worm's mouth start to close. They are not sure if they will make it out.
Rocket Rodeo: Beginning from the horrible fate Starfishman suffered in episode 2, he is alive in space, still attached to the rocket. Patrick now must control the rocket while getting untied to the rocket. Then Patrick advances to a level where he must destroy pillars and energy crystals to open doors out of a space ship containing aliens. He then gets out but must now destroy a u.f.o. in the shepe of a krabby patty. Things go right and Patrick returns to Earth but he doesn't know how to stop the ship and crashes into the sea.
Revenge of the Giant Plankton Monster: This is were Plankton's story left off on. He wakes up at his normal size and then find the Patty in the bed next to him. iWhen Karen wakes it upon accident, Plankton orders her to turn him 50 feet high. Then he goes after the Patty. He also destroys most of Bikini Bottom too. But then after catching it, SpongeBob comes out with his airplane and the Patty grabs on and Plankton follows SpongeBob.
It Came from Bikini Bottom: This level takes place after Revenge of the Giant Plankton Monster SpongeBob must flee from the giant Plankton in 2 boss rounds: one in a construction site, another near what seems to be a tower that plankton hangs on to resembling King Kong. When SpongeBob injures him and feels sorry for Plankton, he flies over but is caught.
Rooftop Rumble: This level is the final level before the final level. Starfishman arrives from his last story and falls on the rooftops to find Mermaidman. They team up and now he needs to battle Giant plankton to help SpongeBob. In the first round, he must avoid his subjets and the cars Plankton is throwing a him. Then he must avoid Plankton's atomic eye by throwing rocks at him, opening up tv dishes, and hiding behind them. After that, he must get recruits from the military by finding a way to turn army searchlights. Next, he needs to find a way to squish Plankton's hands by attacking his subjects, making Plankton shoot lasers at him to reveal buttons, and pushing all the buttons to stop poth of his grips on the buinding. Finally, he needs to catch up with a shrink ray to shrink Plankton. When he shrinks Plankton, they enter a dream bubble and meet a doctor with a krabby patty for a head.
Hypnotic Highway: The doctor in the bubble explains that the reason why they're having the dreams is because they all ate a Krabby Patty before they fell asleep, saying that the particular chemical composition of the patties affected their biorythms and caused a reaction that resulted in the dreams. This is what caused it. SpongeBob then asks why he knows so much about krabby patties, and the patty responds, "Is it not obvious?!?!" and strips his outfit of to reveal that he is that krabby patty. He then runs away and turns into a trophy. SpongeBob, Patrick, and Plankton head into the final level, here they all race in a strange dream to get out of their dream and catch the patty, in which they argue about who's dream it is. If all the sleepy seeds for a person have been collected, the player can access that person in this level. Spongebob is the only playable character that can be played if if you do not have all of the seeds for either Plankton or Patrick.
After the race, SpongeBob wins and finds out it really was a dream. He then gets out of the dream, takes the Krabby Patty to the Krusty Krab, and cuts it into smaller Krabby Pattiess for the hungry customers at the Krusty Krab. SpongeBob then finds out that he and the customers had shells on their backs.
Patrick wins and celebrates with a party at the Krusty Krab, bringing the trophy with him. He goes to eat the patty but it jumps out of his hand and he chases it. It runs through the front doors and the doors close on Patrick, knocking him out. He then falls onto the floor and images of shells circle around above him.
SpongeBob awakes from the dream while Patrick wakes from SpongeBob's dream while Plankton wakes from Patrick's dream. This entire dream was neither SpongeBob's, Patrick's, nor Plankton's dream, but rather Gary's dream. He wakes up soon after SpongeBob, Patrick, and Plankton woke from their dreams. After the credits, Gary wakes up and goes around town. He sees Patrick riding a mechanical horse in a way that a blanket on a clothesline in the background make him look like a superhero, reminding him of the Rocket Rodeo level. He also sees Plankton stomping around the food product-littered roof of the Chum Bucket looking for a krabby patty crumb he lost, reminding Gary of the Revenge of the Giant Plankton Monster level. When Gary comes home SpongeBob brings home a krabby patty and says that Gary shouldn't eat it before bed or it might give him nightmares, teasing him with it. He then walks into the kitchen and Gary sees him eating the Krabby Patty. Gary sees it moves its mouth, then the bullworm rushes through eats SpongeBob, leaving the patty and Gary goes to sleep.
Hint: In Hypnoitic Highway, there are several shortcuts you can use to get to the end faster (as SpongeBob).
