General
- This follows the same number of discs as The Complete Eleventh Season DVD format, meaning there are 3 discs instead of 4 discs. However, it was 3 discs in the first 3 seasons.
- The image of SpongeBob on the spine and the backside is reused from the Complete Seventh Season DVD.
- The image of Patrick in the audio options menu is reused from the spine of The Complete 1st Season DVD, except with an oil-painted design.
- The following episodes were released on this DVD before airing on American television:
- This DVD contains the edited version of "SpongeBob in RandomLand."[1][2]
- However, the Latin Spanish and French dubs contain audio from the red mist one.
- The theme song in "SpongeBob Appreciation Day: Patchy's Beach Bash!" is removed on this DVD.
- This is the first SpongeBob SquarePants season DVD where the credits play after every episode, unlike other season sets where the credits are all jumbled up at the end of each disc.
- The following episodes are respectively referenced on the DVD description:
- "FarmerBob" - SpongeBob and Patrick work on Old Man Jenkins's farm for a day!

- Despite being produced before the pandemic began, "Kwarantined Krab" is not included on this DVD due to its theme being unintentionally similar to the COVID-19 pandemic.[3][4]
- This is the second time an episode from a season is excluded from a SpongeBob season DVD box set release. The first was "Help Wanted" from The Complete 1st Season DVD, along with its re-release, due to copyright issues with Tiny Tim's song "Livin' in the Sunlight, Lovin' in the Moonlight" in the episode. According to Derek Drymon, this is because Nickelodeon did not want to pay Tiny Tim's estate for the rights.[5]
- Despite the absence of this episode, the closing credits are still shown for it. This is because the credits are paired with "Who R Zoo?" and the full credits are left unedited on this DVD.
Errors
- There are numerous spelling errors in some episode descriptions.
- In the description for "Gary's Got Legs" inside the case, SpongeBob's name is misspelled as "SpongeBog."
- In the description for "Plankton's Old Chum" inside the case, Plankton's name is misspelled as "Plantion."
- In the description for "A Cabin in the Kelp" inside the case, Pearl's name is misspelled as "Perl."
- The description for "Stormy Weather" inside the case says 'but has to protect IF from a crazed weather man," misspelling 'IT.'
- "Krusty Koncessionaires" inside the case is misspelled as "Krusty Koncessionaries." However, "Krusty Koncessionaires" is listed correctly on the episode selection screen on this DVD.
