Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds – SpongeBob SquarePants Pack is an upcoming DLC pack for the 2025 racing game Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, the tenth racing game in the Sonic the Hedgehog series published by SEGA. It will contain SpongeBob and Patrick as playable racers, the Patty Wagon, a Bikini Bottom themed course, and additional sounds, emotes, and decals.

History

Before its official announcement, rumors were being spread across the Sonic community about SpongeBob's potential inclusion in the game.^[1] On June 3, 2025, footage of the DLC, along with other details and concept art related to the game; were leaked online by Twitter user F2Insider.^[2]

The DLC was officially announced on June 21, 2025,^[3]^[4] during the 2025 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards. It was the second DLC announced for the games "Season Pass," after the Minecraft DLC. Additional packs for Nickelodeon properties, such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem and Avatar Legends were also announced.^[5] It will be only available in the Digital Deluxe Edition and will release on September 25, 2025.

Trivia

In an inconsistency between SEGA's official webpages for the game, Stephen Hillenburg's given name has been spelled as usual on the Asian webpage^[6] but as "Steven" on the international webpage.^[7]
