General

• There was a VHS released in 2003 called Bikini Bottom Bash! Additionally, both that VHS tape and this DVD contain the episode "Party Pooper Pants."
• The back cover of the DVD reads "For He's a Jolly Good Yellow!," parodying the popular celebration song "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow."
  • Another parody of that song called "For He's a Jolly Good Rookie" was sung in the episode "F.U.N."
• This DVD includes the trailer for The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run at the very beginning as a preview before the DVD menu. This is followed by a picture that promotes The First 100 Episodes, The Next 100 Episodes, and The Best 200 Episodes Ever DVDs. The trailer cannot be accessed from anywhere on the menu.
  • The trailer on this DVD uses 5.1 Surround Sound audio and still lists the release date as May 2020, probably because copies of this DVD were manufactured ahead of time before the movie was delayed.
• "SpongeBob's Big Birthday Blowout" is counted as one chapter on this DVD, unlike The Complete Twelfth Season DVD which counts it as four chapters.
• In "Party Pooper Pants," both the "welcome back" scene and SpongeBob saying, "Seriously!" from the TV version of the episode are included on DVD for the first time.
• The special stop-motion theme song used for "Truth or Square" is not present on this DVD, so despite what the credits say, CeeLo Green's performance is not included. However, the special theme song is left intact on all previous DVD releases that contain "Truth or Square."

• Each episode on this disc is technically in widescreen, but the full-screen episodes are pillar-boxed with black bars embedded onto the left and right side of the display. If one were to watch this DVD on a 4:3 display, each full-screen episode would appear in a black box rather than filling up the whole screen.
  • "Truth or Square" is not only letterboxed in full screen, but it has the pillar-box bars embedded on the left and right of the image as well, making it appear in what as known as "Windowbox" no matter what size display someone uses. This is in contrast to The Pilot a Mini-Movie and the Square Shorts DVD, where the episode is in true 16:9 widescreen.
• The SpongeBob SquarePants theme song is still only at the start of the first episode, but unlike most SpongeBob DVDs, the credits are at the end of each episode rather than the credits being all jumbled up at the end of the last episode on the disc.
• All of the episodes on this DVD are party-themed.
  • This is the second SpongeBob DVD to be party-themed. The first was Tales from the Deep DVD.
  • Although it is a party-themed DVD, "SpongeBob Meets the Strangler" and "Whale of a Birthday" are not included on this DVD.
• This is the first SpongeBob DVD for four things:
  • The first DVD to include a season 12 episode, which is "SpongeBob's Big Birthday Blowout."
  • The first single-disc DVD released since The Legend of Boo-Kini Bottom DVD in September 2018.
  • The first single-disc DVD release to contain multiple hour-long specials.
  • This is the first DVD in the US to use the 44-minute version of "Truth or Square," likely due to it being the only version dubbed around the world. Aforementioned version was already being used with the international DVD releases of SpongeBob's Truth or Square/SpongeBob's Stuck in the Freezer and The Complete Sixth Season due to them having one or more languages other than English. However, the UK and Australian versions of the SpongeBob's Truth or Square DVD only contain English as the language and use the extended version of aforementioned special.
• This is currently the last SpongeBob compilation DVD release in North America.
• On March 1, 2022, this DVD, Extreme Kah-Rah-Tay, and The Adventures of SpongeBob SquarePants were released together in a bundle called SpongeBob SquarePants Triple Pack.
