Although primarily an animated series, SpongeBob SquarePants occasionally includes elements of live-action within the show. The hosts of various specials in the show, Patchy and Potty, are a live-action human and puppet respectively. Their segments are usually shown as part of special double-length episodes in a dual narrative with the usual animated portions.
"Plankton!" - A live-action Labrador retriever is seen on Plankton's TV. There's also the envision of the Krabby Patty that SpongeBob sees and the map of SpongeBob's brain (with a cartoon brain pasted on a real city map).
"Texas" - Sandy's song includes live-action renders of her out in the west, as well as images of horses, cows and a bull ride.
"Neptune's Spatula" - King Neptune accidentally reveals footage of Tom Kenny showering when he meant to reveal where SpongeBob could win a trip to if he succeeds in the cook-off. Both the close-up of Neptune's hand and Atlantis itself are depicted as live-action as well.
"Hooky" - Fishermen try to reel up SpongeBob and Patrick twice, but fail. Their boats are also seen at the very start, rendered as stock images. Live-action pictures of the gift shop, tuna can, and mayo jar are shown as well.
"Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy II" - Realistic Fish Head appears on SpongeBob's TV. During the broadcast, a close-up of the heroes' hands is depicted as real, as well as the paper RFH reads from, the phone he speaks in, and the background the patty statues of the heroes are in.
"Your Shoe's Untied" - SpongeBob is shown watching a dancing anemone on TV, but then changes it to the sports channel when Gary comes in. Both channels were shown in live-action. The flashback to SpongeBob as a small organism tying his shoes is also like this. Also, Painty the Pirate from the intro makes an appearance when SpongeBob asks him if he can help him tie his shoes, to which Painty responds that he cannot because he is just a painting.
"Something Smells" - The movie, which appears to depict a crowd cheering.
"Imitation Krabs" - The close-up of the Krabby Patty, similar to the one in "Plankton!" Later, Hans appears trying to eat Mr. Krabs in a food basket.
"Wormy" - The horsefly close-ups, Wormy turning into a butterfly, and the butterfly footage are live-action. These stock footages are 83064499, 83064504 and 142359999.
"Patty Hype" - On Krabs' TV, he watches a "romance movie" between two amoeba. Shortly thereafter, Realistic Fish Head reports on the Pretty Patties.
"Prehibernation Week" - The title card's background and the man performing a rim shot on the drums.
"Life of Crime" - When SpongeBob remarks that him and Patrick doing a lot of running was good for their buns and thighs, a live-action man with a six-pack is subsequently shown saying, "Yeah, buns and thighs."
"Christmas Who?" - The Patchy segments are all filmed in a real-life setting. In the actual episode, the donkey, and Santa himself flying off and praising Squidward.
"Dumped" - Jerry, one of SpongeBob's other snails.
"No Free Rides" - The French narrator after getting hit by the car. His camera can be seen too. Also, Realistic Fish Head appears in Mrs. Puff's thought sequence as a reporter.
"Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy III" - Many of the close-ups of Mermaid Man, Barnacle Boy, and Man Ray's hands, and Man Ray's bank card with a poodle on it.
"Pressure" - The scene with everyone on the island is done with live-action puppetry.
"The Smoking Peanut" - Realistic Fish Head appears, again as a reporter. His report includes humans in several countries covering their ears and Hans making a cameo.
"Shanghaied" - The perfume department, the skull within the Fly of Despair, the spaghetti and meatballs, and the psychedelic background at the end. In one of the Patchy segments, footage of a bunch of pirates cheering is featured.
"Gary Takes a Bath" - A close-up of a woman is shown during the subliminal message sequence.
"Frankendoodle" - A fisherman is seen drawing in his boat with the magic pencil until he drops it into the ocean. He shouts "No!" upon this incident. Later, he gets it back, but it cracks on contact with the paper.
"The Secret Box" - The title card's background, the test pattern on SpongeBob's TV, and the carton of milk being tipped over in Patrick's imagination.
"Band Geeks" - The stadium and the spectators within it.
"Krusty Love" - Mr. Puff being used as a lamp, and the diver playing piano at the restaurant.
"Procrastination" - A live-action footage of a race car crashing is used to demonstrate SpongeBob's driving skills, though this was featured in a deleted scene. Realistic Fish Head appears reporting again.
"SpongeGuard on Duty" - SpongeBob imagines himself as a real life mascot lifeguarding the beach. Later, his sandcastle is rendered as a realistic, large castle.
"Just One Bite" - The flames when Squidward says he has no soul.
"The Bully" - SpongeBob is depicted as a real kitchen sponge in the toilet scene.
"Nasty Patty" - Realistic Fish Head is reporting again.
"Idiot Box" - Patrick looks through two glasses, where his eyes are replaced with puppet eyes.
"Snowball Effect" - The beginning shows footage of icebergs and glaciers. A real iceberg floats near Bikini Atoll as well. Realistic Fish Head also reports on the snowfall.
"As Seen on TV" - SpongeBob watches an old western movie at one point.
"Squilliam Returns" - The crowd cheering behind Squidward, and Squilliam's bulky and "hot" body.
"Krab Borg" - The cheap robot movie that SpongeBob watches; it reappears in SpongeBob's nightmare, where he replaces the man.
"Wet Painters" - Painty the Pirate makes a cameo as one of the paintings covering Krabs' dollar. Another painting depicts a picture of a banana.
"Krusty Krab Training Video" - The many live-action Krabby Patties, the giraffe, the picture frame from the intro but Painty was replaced with the image of Krabs standing near the Krusty Krab, the hand that swats SpongeBob with a flyswatter, the cut-out of Krabs saying "The money is always right!," and the training manual.
"Party Pooper Pants" - All of the Patchy segments are live-action, and these scenes have footage of pirates cheering (same as "Shanghaied") and the musical groups rendered in live-action and Hans acting as a rocket during Underwater Sun. In the actual episode, the cooked lobster Larry sees in the mirror.
"Chocolate with Nuts" - SpongeBob stands on a stock image of Earth at one point.
"Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy V" - Realistic Fish Head reports on the villains. Also, the green smoke on the TV is real. The Chief is a real human on a TV screen.
"New Student Starfish" - Roger the chick and the thought bubble with SpongeBob and Patrick amongst a bunch of kids.
"Clams" - Live-action archive footage of an orchestra during the penultimate musical piece with Mr. Krabs going wild is used. Krabs also sucks on Hans' thumb during his breakdown.
"Ugh" - All of the Patchy segments are live-action. A stock image of a Pterosaur flies over the island at the beginning. There's also the footage of cavemen in the first Patchy segment. In the actual episode, as SpongeGar stares at the stick for a prolonged time, the scene abruptly cuts to a barbershop quartet vocalizing to the music. Also, real drawings of an amoeba and Albert Einstein appears in Squog's speech bubbles.
"I Had an Accident" - The gorilla that attacks Patrick and Sandy is live-action, as is his friend George. The ending shows a live-action family confused about the episode they just watched.
"The Camping Episode" - The title card, the bears on the magazine covers and instructional booklet. Same for the unicorn.
"The Sponge Who Could Fly" - All of the Patchy segments are live-action. The footage of Nickelodeon Studios, the crowd cheering, and the audience applauding after the "Remembering SpongeBob" montage. There's also the clips on Patchy's TV: in order, they are: a clown juggling balls, a weather report, a western film, and the same football match and anemone footage used in "Your Shoe's Untied." The stock footage is 692-145.
"SpongeBob Meets the Strangler" - The title card's smoky background is real. Also, Larry turns into a real cooked lobster at one point.
"The Lost Mattress" - Squidward's watch has a picture of Big Ben on it.
"Have You Seen This Snail?" - The "SpongeBob SquarePants special" introduction with Patchy is live-action. In the actual episode, there's the close-up of the nacho box.
"Dunces and Dragons" - When the Dark Knight gets knocked out, she becomes a live-action squirrel.
"Enemy In-Law" - The crab crawling on the seabed, and the footage of battleship cannons inserted on Mama Krabs' muscles.
"Mrs. Puff, You're Fired" - SpongeBob jumping out of the water (reused from No Weenies Allowed).
"Karate Island" - Multiple live-action sequences are shown during the King of Karate video. They include a flower blossoming, a man karate kicking, two trains crashing into each other, a crowd reacting in amazement, a group of people performing karate moves, and a woman snapping a man's arm. Realistic Fish Head also narrates the video.
"All That Glitters" - The hands that drop the Monster Krabby Patty meat is live-action.
"Wishing You Well" - Mr. Krabs is seen being eaten at the end of the episode as karma.
"Once Bitten" - Realistic Fish Head reports on Gary's rampage.
"Hocus Pocus" - Patrick is turned into a realistic jar of mayonnaise at the end.
"The Pink Purloiner" - Realistic Fish Head reports on the jellyfish migration.
"Goo Goo Gas" - Live organisms are in the background of the ending.
"Atlantis SquarePantis" - All of the Patchy segments are live-action. Also, Squidward comes across a live-action van at one point in his song.
"Picture Day" - A bunch of smiling humans are in the photo album.
"Pest of the West" - Sandy's great aunt, Rosie, standing on an oil tower. Right after, the footage of an oil tower bellowing oil.
"The Battle of Bikini Bottom" - Close-ups of the real hand underneath Patrick's, and him picking the nose he grew (his face is depicted as realistic here, too).
"Sun Bleached" - A commercial for the soda "X-Treme" is featured. There's also the fish turning into a strip of bacon.
"Giant Squidward" - The audience booing at SpongeBob's joke about "big money."
"No Nose Knows" - Patrick acquires live-action hands when he feels for a nose.
"SpongeBob SquarePants vs. The Big One" - The shot of outer space. Later, Davy Jones appears to torture the Flying Dutchman by throwing socks at him. The locker the Dutchman is in is also real.
"Cephalopod Lodge" - SpongeBob and Patrick disguise themselves in a real giant sock.
"To SquarePants or Not to SquarePants" - The stock footage of the storms, bridge collapsing, people helping a pig get out of floodwaters, and woman screaming. Also, SpongeBob imagines a live-action Sandy looking about.
"Komputer Overload" - Karen watches stock footage of computer machinery on the big monitor.
"Truth or Square" - All of the Patchy segments are live-action. Realistic Fish Head also makes an appearance on Patrick's television. Patchy later comes across a waterfall rendered with live-action footage. There's also the stock footage of the sailboat with a real pineapple falling off (which becomes animated in the water), the old school film countdown preceding the intro parodies, and at the end, a long montage of clips includes ship cannons, a painting of Blackbeard, a Jolly Roger flag, two pirate ships blasting cannons at each other, a group of pirates battling, an elderly sailor, a chimp dressed as a sailor, a painting of a pirate walking off a plank, a man sliding down a rope, a split-screen of a scowling pirate and his ship, a painting of a pirate using a bucket to smack another in the face, another clip of a ship shooting its cannons, a man performing a battle stance, a pirate parade float, a dancing sailor, a kid dressed as a pirate, a boy sneaking some gummy bears into his shirt pocket, and an hourglass.
"The Clash of Triton" - The film countdown and the women in bathing suits dancing.
"Rodeo Daze" - SpongeBob and the various Bikini Bottomites go on land. There's also the cows and pictures of rodeos, tractor, bull, barrel, horses, and live-action renders of SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy in the song, the rocket shooting from the water, and the view above Texas.
"The Great Patty Caper" - Realistic Fish Head reporting and the moon emerging through the thick fog.
"Buried in Time" - Patrick imagines his future in a live-action city.
"Whelk Attack" - Realistic Fish Head reports on the whelk rampage.
"Tunnel of Glove" - The wall within the water at the Tunnel of Glove ride.
"Frozen Face-Off" - Same live-action explosion scene as "Dying for Pie" and "The Krusty Plate." Realistic Fish Head reports on the race, too. Also, Sandy imagines SpongeBob as a real sponge on a stick (with grill marks) as she gets hungry.
"The Googly Artiste" - Patrick paints The Starry Night and carves The Thinker at one point. Both are rendered as real.
"A SquarePants Family Vacation" - The clouds the car phases through, and outer space, where they also encounter a live-action cow trying to jump over the moon, only to ram it. Sometime later, SpongeBob and Patrick encounter a live-action vending machine in the forest.
"Mooncation" - Of course, space is depicted as real. There's also the moon on the title card, SpongeBob's origami hands, the planets, the space satellite, and the elderly man at Nickelodeon Studios.
"Ghoul Fools" - Footage of waves crashing in "Ghouls O The Briny Deep," the cat-o-nine-tails, literally a real cat with multiple tails, and the pizza. Also, Mr. Krabs' head when the treasure chest is slammed to his face and the explosion footage (not the usual explosion).
"Mermaid Man Begins" - The men blowing horns. Also, Squidward watches a ballet dancer on TV. Later, the moon above the city and the calendar being flipped by a hand.
"Bubble Buddy Returns" - The interior of the Bikini Bottom Pillow Foundry, depicted as real footage of industrial machines and workers.
"Fiasco!" - Again, space and the satellite Plankton hides in.
"Are You Happy Now?" - Actual static and test card appear in Squidward's thought bubble (complete with the long "beep" noise).
"Planet of the Jellyfish" - A real mansion appears on the late night horror show SpongeBob watches.
"Free Samples" - The hands each giving a thumbs-up in a fish's eyes, another fish turning into a real one when he jumps out of the water, and two fishes' heads turning into hands and high-fiving.
"Demolition Doofus" - SpongeBob and his boat become real when he's shot out of the water.
"Treats!" - A pirate ship's wheel, a compass, and other pirate imagery appear in the Indiana Jones homage.
"Chum Fricassee" - The food that appears in the intro to "Flavors of the Bottom."
"Hello Bikini Bottom!" - A lot of things in the first musical number, such as the human ears, the map, the stage the fish are cheering at, a couple of stock animal pictures, the Thinker statue, the pear, the venue, and the loudspeakers. There is also the lightshow near the end.
"Patrick-Man!" - Patrick's mind is shown as live-action footage of a desert, SpongeBob's TV shows live-action footage of dolphins swimming, and a realistic starfish spinning is used as a transition.
"Bumper to Bumper" - During the freak-out scene, a faceless SpongeBob appears on a stock image of a road.
"It Came from Goo Lagoon" - Realistic Fish Head reports on the goo bubbles. Later, an actual color bars screen appears on a television.
"Safe Deposit Krabs" - Realistic Fish Head reports on the new bank opening.
"Don't Look Now" - An actual preview approval card (with a fake rating edited in) appears on the movie screen. The moon is, once again, real in the scene where Squidward (disguised as The Fisherman) descends.
"Sanctuary!" - SpongeBob's hand and arm become human when he squirts baby milk on it. There's also Dani the snail's realistic head.
"SpongeBob LongPants" - The film "The Table," which only shows just a black and white image of a table.
"Larry's Gym" - Krabs appears at the end as a real crab on a plate after getting steamed up.
"Mall Girl Pearl" - A real life drawing of a whale (with Pearl's hair and clothes added) is use to depict her cellphone icon. Later, the mittens that Pearl wears are live-action.
"Two Thumbs Down" - Footage of two trains crashing into each other (same as in Karate Island), a bridge collapsing (same as in To SquarePants or Not to SquarePants), a tree falling, a crow, and a baby crying appear as SpongeBob's thumbs break. Also, SpongeBob and Patrick's thumbprints are real images.
"Sharks vs. Pods" - When SpongeBob says he must go out and save Gary, most of his body during the close-up of his face is depicted as realistic. Later, SpongeBob turns into a real sponge to elude the police.
"Lame and Fortune" - The boats at the beginning and the box it drops (until it goes underwater, where it becomes animated). Plankton gets eaten at the end at a Chinese restaurant.
"Goodbye, Krabby Patty?" - The food items on the Lonely Krab food pack. On the television, actual static appears.
"Sandy's Nutmare" - The real life park in SpongeBob's telescope.
"Salsa Imbecilicus" - The crowd laughing that appears on Karen's monitor.
"Mutiny on the Krusty" - Realistic Fish Head reports the weather. A cow is blown away by the storm as well.
"Unreal Estate" - Hans and Painty appear in the opening parodies, and the extinguisher the former uses to put out the fire in the hot pepper intro is live-action. A scene taking place in a fish tank at a restaurant is live-action. Lastly, the rocket shooting out of the sea, same as in "Rodeo Daze," and Earth.
"Code Yellow" - A realistic octopus is shown as one of Squidward's noses.
"Snooze You Lose" - When Squidward plays his clarinet in full control, three live-action clips are shown. They are a flock of birds taking off, chunks of ice falling into an ocean, and a group of buildings collapsing.
"SpongeBob's Place" - A customer's hand appears as a photorealistic human hand.
"Plankton Gets the Boot" - When Karen gets mad at Plankton, her screen shows live-action footage of fire.
"Life Insurance" - SpongeBob and Patrick briefly become a real sponge and star when they are zapped by lightning.
"Plankton Retires" - In the ending montage of the SpongeBob, Krabs, and Plankton robots hanging out, they stroll down a real street, dance in front of a real slide, play volleyball on a real beach, and bathe in a real hot tub.
"Trident Trouble" - When SpongeBob zaps Mr. Krabs, he briefly turns into a real crab.
"Sportz?" - Squidward is sliced into live-action calamari, with his eyes animated over it.
"Lost and Found" - A rubber chicken ends up turning into a real rooster at one point.
"Feral Friends" - All of the Patchy segments are live-action. Also, the French Narrator appears as a live-action character in this episode, and the submarine footage just before his introduction.
"The Legend of Boo-Kini Bottom" - Karen shows two live-action videos on her screen: a cat and a woman screaming. When the Flying Dutchman spins everyone's souls around, footage of a zombie and a gorilla appear.
"No Pictures Please" - The giant wave, and the starry background in the Twilight Zone parody.
"Stuck on the Roof" - Sandy is depicted yet again as a real squirrel as she pops out of the water. Her astronaut jacket becomes real, too.
"Teacher's Pests" - The old school movie countdown before the driving safety film, and the explosion (yet again, a different one).
"Squid Noir" - The food pack SpongeBob presents to Mr. Krabs.
"Scavenger Pants" - The sandwich the witch makes, the picture of the Loch Ness Monster, the images of Scotland, and Squidward's head exploding.
"Cuddle E. Hugs" - At the end, Cuddle E. Hugs is turned into a real hamster in a real room (with SpongeBob merchandise in it).
"Drive Happy" - The car's rear view mirror displays an image of a cat. Later, the car flips channels to show a car speeding off a cliff, dinosaurs fighting each other, the Phantom of the Opera, a Western, a crowd of people, and a basking shark.
"Grandmum's the Word" - Karen's screen shows a live-action human's lips when she kisses Plankton, and her screen also flashes real static. At one point, a live-action seagull (with cartoon eyes) appears on the surface.
"Doodle Dimension" - The old coot at the beginning and end of the episode. Also, the close-up of Sandy's machine (actually parts of a plane dashboard), the many images (such as an eye, horses, and explosions) as SpongeBob and Patrick travel across dimensions, and SpongeBob's pencil.
"Moving Bubble Bass" - Patrick's face when he says "Things are gonna get crazy!," and the flag with the anchor on it.
"Bottle Burglars" - The same live-action lips from "Grandmum's the Word" appear on Karen's screen. Later, Plankton is seen watching a live-action horror film. At another point, Squidward is crushed by a real ocean liner.
"My Leg!" - Fred's legs appear as real human legs (in heeled shoes) when his dress is blown upward, and as a real fish on a plate getting cut with a knife. Earth can be seen through a window when Fred gets his leg taken by aliens. The explosion when the factory explodes is real as well.
"Shopping List" - A live-action explosion appears after Plankton listens to SpongeBob laughing with headphones.
"Whale Watching" - Pearl beaches herself at Bikini Atoll. The ocean surface is depicted as real. The fish that jump out of the water are rendered as real fish as well.
"Patnocchio" - The book opening and closing at the start and end. Hans makes an appearance in where he fist bumps/punches Plankton. He also isn't in his usual outfit this time, exposing what his arm actually looks like (a bit hairy). There's also the flames in the Goofy Goober tender's eyes.
"Library Cards" - When SpongeBob turns on Patrick's television, actual static appears.
"Call the Cops" - The close-up of SpongeBob's chin (which looks more like an apple). Also, the close-up of Patrick's ice cream and the two ice cream cones he sees Mr. Krabs' eyes as.
"Surf N' Turf" - The picture of Mr. Krabs (an actual post-WWII picture).
"Goons on the Moon" - The moon from afar, the country squirrel, space, Earth, the desert, the tavern and the squirrel's guitar, the animation studio and Rodger Bumpass, the seagull, and the city at night.
"Appointment TV" - The frozen bottles of Fiz. Later, when one of Mrs. Puff's tires reaches the surface, it becomes live-action.
"The Night Patty" - Nosferatu re-appears as the boss of the night shift. Also, when The Fisherman is deep fried, he turns into a live-action fish stick.
"Bubbletown" - The close-up of SpongeBob's dirty face.
"Girls' Night Out" - When Karen cries, her screen switches to a video of a real waterfall and a clip of someone turning a water valve when she stops. Later, to wake SpongeBob up, Karen displays real footage of a hand ringing a doorbell.
"The String" - A fisherman appears while SpongeBob is unraveling the string. The Milky Way is also depicted as real.
"Swamp Mates" - Flames and a lion, respectively, pop out of two of SpongeBob's books. The IJLSA chief makes a reappearance, and gets cut off by actual static.
"Sandy's Nutty Nieces" - A real seagull perches on SpongeBob's long lump. Also, footage of a dancing chimp appears on SpongeBob's TV, and so is Rosy's home in Texas.
"Insecurity Guards" - The onions and cupcakes that appear in Patrick and SpongeBob's eyes. Also, the statue the thief makes off with.
"Karen's Baby" - A live-action photograph of a computer chip is used for Karen's grandfather, Chip I. Again, when Karen cries, footage of a waterfall appears on her screen.
"Dirty Bubble Returns" - Realistic Fish Head gives the news on the Dirty Bubble.
"Biddy Sitting" - SpongeBob and Patrick become live-action versions of their injured selves due to Mary's mother beating them up.
"SpongeBob's Big Birthday Blowout" - All of the Patchy segments are live-action. Also, the Trusty Slab is a live-action counterpart to the Krusty Krab, and several live-action counterparts of the animated characters appear in it. In fact, most of the episode is spent in the real world. There's also the farm background that the cow appears in, the submarine, the container of fish flakes, the giftbox Patchy's head was in, and another on-screen appearance by the French Narrator. The episode ends with various celebrities wishing SpongeBob a 20th birthday. Right before he reveals his age, he's cut off by actual static.
"SpongeBob in RandomLand" - At one point, SpongeBob and Squidward ride a lawnmower across the hair of a real man. Also, the static that appears behind Red Mist Squidward is real. In the edited version, Red Mist Squidward is replaced with a photorealistic baby with Squidward's head on it.
"SpongeBob's Bad Habit" - The close-up of Fred, Mrs. Puff, and Sandy's hands as well as SpongeBob's face during a close-up. Hans makes an appearance as a doctor towards the end.
"Handemonium" - Hans appears to put SpongeBob's pants on and duel with the Chum Bucket glove.
"Breakin'" - The tin foil disco ball is in live-action.
"The Goofy Newbie" - The ice cream party boat is a live-action image of a sundae. Earth is once again depicted as real.
"Knock Knock, Who's There?" - The nature background when SpongeBob holds up Krabs' perfume. Later, SpongeBob flips through channels to reveal live-action footage of a yellow fish, two dung beetles tumbling down a hill, a wrestling match between two humans, a chicken, a pig, and a black-and-white horror movie involving an animated hook. Actual static separates each. Later, SpongeBob and Patrick use a giant live-action metal block of cheese as a weapon against the burglar, and at another point, SpongeBob's lips become real when he speaks on the phone. A real explosion also appears in the action movie.
"Pat Hearts Squid" - The close-up of Patrick's banana; later, Squidward's paint splatters and Patrick's artwork feature real life paintings. A real explosion removes Squidward's shorts near the end.
"A Cabin in the Kelp" - A photo of live-action bananas appears on Karen's screen.
"Who R Zoo?" - Old Man Walker's sharp objects are in live action. They are three darts, a porcupine, a pencil, a pizza slicer, and a cactus in a blue litter box.
"Patrick's Tantrum" - The chimpanzee on the television. Also, the buoy and the cruise ship on the surface.
"Lockdown for Love" - Karen's screen displays footage of a woman's mouth eating a bon bon and lips puckering up. Karen seals up the Chum Bucket by using live-action tin foil shortly thereafter. Later, when Plankton's head explodes, real popcorn flies out from him.
"Goofy Scoopers" - The flames as SpongeBob shreds his guitar during the Brain Freeze song.
"Pat the Dog" - Patrick transforms into a live-action chicken nugget at one point.
"Something Narwhal This Way Comes" - Hans makes another appearance. Realistic Fish Head reports on the chaos as well before getting cut off by actual static.
"Potato Puff" - The French Narrator appears in his submarine peeling some potatoes. The potato getting mashed near the end and the resulting meal is also rendered as live-action. When Mrs. Puff turns on the TV, actual static appears.
"Food PBFFT! Truck" - Mr. Krabs transforms into a live-action crab on a plate at one point.
"Upturn Girls" - Pearl and Narlene ride a live-action toy diver to get to town.
"Patrick the Mailman" - The close-up of Patrick's face when he and SpongeBob prepare to deliver mail.
"Captain Pipsqueak" - One of the characters applying to be part of E.V.I.L. is Nosferatu. Retired superhero The Foot is a live-action foot.
"Plane to Sea" - The tropical background behind Squidward as he reads the letter, the photograph the attendant takes, and the finger that comes out of Squidward's nose are all live-action.
"Squidferatu" - Nosferatu appears in this episode. The Bleeder's Digest and Bat Fancy magazines are live-action. Later, Nosferatu is seen wearing a live-action fez during the dining room scene. As SpongeBob and Squidward try to escape the castle, they open some doors to find a trio of monsters, a flaming skull and some sushi behind them.
"Slappy Daze" - Nosferatu makes another appearance.
"Ma and Pa's Big Hurrah" - Bikini Atoll. Also, a live-action rough side of a kitchen sponge appears on SpongeBob's back when he cleans the bathroom.
"Yellow Pavement" - Squidward's eyes become real when he looks through binoculars. Towards the end in SpongeBob's film, a Krabby Patty is depicted as live-action, as well as the two pillars and the throne the puppet SpongeBob sits on, SpongeBob himself as he holds up his license, and Earth.
"The Flower Plot" - The flower bunches used as transitions are live-action.
"SpongeBob on Parade" - Squidward becomes a real squid when he's knocked off the float.
"Ride Patrick Ride" - The various images wiped from Patrick's memory, the space background for the time card, the static and bicycles in Patrick's eyes, and the photo showing Patrick winning a race.
"My Friend Patty" - Nosferatu appears as one of many characters attempting to eat the living patty.
"FUN-Believable" - The censor panels on characters' eyes. Nosferatu also gets interviewed by Rube.
"Spatula of the Heavens" - The various live-action backgrounds (depicting mountains, flames, etc.) as SpongeBob gives the backstory of his spatula. Once again, SpongeBob becomes a real sponge when he leaves the ocean.
"Gary's Playhouse" - Hans makes an appearance selling ice cream.
"Swimming Fools" - The blazing sun and moon. Later, outer space and Earth are once again shown as real during Squidward's high dive, as is the sky in some shots.
"Sandy, Help Us!" - Actual static appears on Sandy's screen. Later, Sandy's rocket ends up knocking a live-action seagull into the air. Just after, Earth and outer space are yet again shown as real.
Season 14
"Buff for Puff" - The meat Mr. Krabs tries to feed Mrs. Puff becomes real.
"We ♥ Hoops" - The toilet paper and coffee that Patrick holds up.
"SpongeChovy" - Patrick's hands during an extreme close-up of him and the pizzeria that Squidward calls. Hans also makes another appearance giving some pizza to the Krusty Krab.
"Momageddon" - Live-action nachos are used as a transition.
"Pet the Rock" - The static on Patrick's TV and the fireworks that appear when he celebrates his win.
"Tango Tangle" - Plankton's lips during a close-up of him.
Three live-action clips of an exploding bridge and balloon and a mine collapse are shown when SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy look for a way to leave Kamp Koral after their bus is destroyed.
Karen shows a monster mask on her screen.
Nosferatu appears.
During the ending song, Harold removes his clothes and turns into a live-action fish.
"Snow Yellow" - Hans and his fireplace, the sharp knife, escape button and the Krabby Patty. Snow Yellow turns into a kitchen sponge at one point.
"Biscuit Ballyhoo" - Nosferatu appears watching a live action television show.
"Wiener Takes All" - Actual static appears on a TV screen. Later, a real glass crack shows up on Squidward's eye.
"Dome Alone" - SpongeBob screams due to footage of a gorilla.
"Wary Gary" - Live-action footage of snails kissing while Gary is watching Snails of our Lives on TV as well as SpongeBob's chest.
"Pinned" - Live-action footages of a crushed car, a smashed clock, a falling building, a smashed plate and a monster truck crushing cars appear before SpongeBob gets pinned under a barbell weighed with four plushes.
"Firehouse Bob" - The devil women, man with a furry mustache, Medusa, skeletons, Santa, zebra, Dracula, firefighter, dancing alien on the moon, test tube, dancing men, chimpanzee, rollercoaster, swimmer and space explosion. Later, a live action seagull gets hit by Squidward.
"Delivery of Doom" - SpongeBob's fist, Man Ray's hands and the aluminum foil.
"In Search of Camp Noodist" - The hand that gives Sandy a trophy, the puppet hotdog, the record player smashed with a hammer and the Camp Noodist campgoers are live-action. At the very end, Patrick becomes a realistic starfish.
"Kitchen Sponge" - The flames during Plankton's fantasy.
"Cretins of the Night": When SpongeBob and Patrick imagine what being a vampire would be like, live-action imagery of themselves appears behind them as well as a real bat. The vampire hand puppet is also real.
