સ્પોન્જબોબ સ્ક્વેરપેન્ટ (Spōnjabōba skvērapēnṭa) refers to the 2 Gujarati dubs of SpongeBob SquarePants. It is part of International SpongeBob SquarePants.
History
SpongeBob SquarePants premiered on March 2, 2020, on Colors Gujarati, an Indian channel owned by Paramount. It stopped airing in the same year, and only season 11 was dubbed. on April 3, 2023, ETV Bal Bharat started airing the series with a new dub, this time dubbing at least the first 10 seasons keeping the cast of the previous dub, starting with season 1.
Trivia
Colors Gujarati
- The intro was left instrumental, but in "Old Man Patrick," the sequence where SpongeBob makes a reference to the show's intro is dubbed.
- Also in the intro, the Painty and kids part was cut.
- The promo for the dub features clips from season 9, even though only season 11 was dubbed.
- "Ahhhh (The Scare Song) from "The Legend of Boo-Kini Bottom" doesn't have the voices of the Flying Dutchman's ghost pirates.
ETV Bal Bharat
- It has the same voice actors from the previous Colors Gujarati dub.
- Painty's dailogue at the start of the intro is in Gujarati, while the kids in the beginning are left in English, and the rest is in Hindi.
- In the episode "Squidward's School for Grown-ups", Squidward's line "Terrible." during the song "Dear Friend" is not fully dubbed, as the original English line is spoken over by Squidward's voice actor.
- The song "Two Thumbs Down" is left instrumental.
