Trivia
- Squidward's Spanish name, Calamardo, is based off the combination of the Spanish word for squid, which is calamar; and the name Eduardo, Spanish for Edward. His nickname is Calamardito.
- This is one of the few dubs where the characters get their voice actors changed.
- Sandy Cheeks' name in this dub is Arenita Mejillas.
- In Ripped Pants and Nature Pants, Sandy was called by her original English name.
- A voice-over will usually read out any text that is on screen.
- This dub airs on the Bob Esponja channel on Pluto TV with season 1 airing very often.
- The title cards aren't edited with their respective language as in other places. The only thing that is heard is the name of the episode in the dub.
- Unlike the original version, SpongeBob is called "Bob" countless times.
- This dub has aired on 49 different networks.
- On Nicktoons, season 5, season 6, some episodes of season 7, "It's a SpongeBob Christmas!," some episodes of season 9, last 2 episodes of season 10, season 11, and some episodes of season 12 are in PAL Pitch.
- Also on Netflix, season 6 is in PAL Pitch.
- This was one of the favorite dubs of Stephen Hillenburg, the creator of the show.[citation needed]
- Luis Carreño (The voice of SpongeBob and DoodleBob), who moved to Miami due to labor issues, was nearly replaced during season 9 by SpongeBob and Gary’s original voice actor, Kaihiamal Martínez, despite the fact some of the dubs episodes featuring Carreño, had already been released by that time. However, Carreño managed to reach a deal with Nickelodeon, securing his spot on the cast.
- In this dub, RandomLand is called "Locolandia," which translates into "CrazyLand."[3]
- To date, "Dunces and Dragons," "Squidferatu," and "Slappy Daze" are the only episodes to be aired in Latin America on the same dates as the United States.
